The 12 Regrets is and indie rock band with a new album called Searching for You. For this project I wanted to capture the feeling you get when you listen to the bands music. The color palette was made to be more cool toned to match the aesthetic of the brand and the illustration was made to showcase a lot of movement to go along with the music.
The illustration features a girl with closed eyes, revealed atop the record when the music begins, symbolizing the search ending within the band’s sound. The layout emphasizes white space, balancing simplicity with movement to mirror the ow and rhythm of the music, while maintaining a cohesive visual connection between the cover and the vinyl itself.
This one came together really naturally. The design ended up feeling like an extension of the music moody, a little dreamy, and full of movement. The whole layout just flows in a way that feels right. It’s simple but says a lot, and overall, it feels like a solid visual match for the sound.
